Unreal Engine Artist
Location: Hybrid (now remote)
Position: Permanent Full-Time
Salary: TBD - depends on experience

DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for a full time Unreal Engine Artist to join our team, to create world-class photoreal imagery for virtual production in advertising.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create world-class photoreal imagery for virtual production in advertising
• Participate in virtual / physical art department meetings and decisions
• Optimise backgrounds and scenes to meet the project requirements while keeping visual fidelity
• Troubleshoot renders
• Accurately document of processes and learnings
• R&D techniques and process improvements
• Data prep system for reusable import protocols using Unreal
• Develop shaders, tools, FX, modules, and other assets for alter ego’s library

• Solid organisation skills - adherence to file structures, naming conventions, and other established protocols

REQUIREMENTS

• Several years professional experience with Unreal Engine and architectural visualisation
• Passionate about virtual production and filmmaking
• VFX or game dev industry experience working with Unreal Engine
• Proficient with Unreal’s Blueprint system
• Experience with Zbrush, Substance Painter, Quixel Mixer, or similar texturing software
• Knowledge of baked lighting techniques using CPU & GPU
• Lightmaps and UV channel optimizations for baked lighting processes
• Photography / videography knowledge (settings, camera motion, composition)
• Experience with procedural workflows (i.e. Houdini, Substance Designer)
• Composition & video software experience (Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects, Premiere, MediaEncoder and/or Nuke)

BONUS

• Experience using Sequencer and/or Movie Render Queue
• Knowledge of Revit to Unreal workflow
• Experience using version control

ADDITIONAL

• Must be eligible to work in Canada
• Strong English communication skills needed
