Alter Ego is on the lookout for a detail-oriented Colour Assistant to join our creative team in Vancouver!

You’ll assist with advertising projects using Baselight as the grading tool. You’ll often be working with Colourists in our other two studios (Toronto and Santa Monica), so it’s important to be comfortable communicating in writing // from a distance.

We do want you to work from our Vancouver studio, so you’ll still have an in-person team to collaborate with during work!

WHAT YOU’LL DO

COLOUR PROJECT FACILITATION:

• Process source footage for upcoming jobs
• Conform spots in Baselight according to EDLs provided
• Manage and organize media files for in-progress, upcoming, and completed work
• Craft postings for stills and viewing links
• Conduct thorough QC of projects
• Create backups as required
• Act as a liaison with producers, editorial, or others swiftly resolving any issues

CLIENT SERVICES:

• Treat our clients like VIPs, offering top-notch service
• Whether remotely or in-person, always be considering the needs of the clients and how we can help

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT:

• Assist in administrative tasks such as scheduling, file organization, and project documentation
• Maintain our library of work in Google Drive, Simian, Frame.io, and Vimeo

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• A passion for the artistry of colour grading and post-production
• Previous customer service experience, coupled with an engaging and outgoing personality
• A self-starter work ethic, capable of adapting and evolving
• Serious organizational skills to maintain order in the creative chaos
